Hi, thanks for the question. Draw bias refers to an internal weighting system that assists in getting the club face square at impact. This is designed to lessen the chance of a slice and promote a draw. I believe this would be the best bet for you to help your slice. -Parker

You may want to try the lite flex if you have a slower club head speed. The softer flex will compensate and result in greater distance.

the number is the shaft weight, but the shaft models all have different flex points. Best is to get "fitted" to narrow it down to 2-3 types then take them to the range/course and find the best one.

The Aldila NV shaft is the lower launching option (high kickpoint). The heavier the weight (65,75,85) the lower the ball flight and the torque will also be lower with heavier weight. The NVS is a slightly higher launching shaft (mid Kickpoint). The NVS is the "more forgiving" of the two options. As Rich mentioned above, getting fitted properly is key and being able to test them will give you a better idea of what you need.

Thank you for your question. The Big Bertha Diablo senior flex would be the best option for ladies in that series. Big Bertha does offer a lady driver however it is not the Diablo series. The difference between the draw and the neutral version is that the draw model will promote a draw or act a slice reducer. The loft of the club will determine how high the ball will go. The average golfer needs to add carry to their ball so the 10 degree driver would be the most common. Most golfers swing in the regular flex category also unless their club head speed is fairly high (95+ MPH).

Most golfers will play the 10 degree driver in regular flex. The neutral is the regular version so you would probably be safe going with that option.

The 6Z is a low - medium launching shaft with weight in the mid 60 grams. This shaft is relatively low launching in comparison to most shafts so it should help to keep your ball flight down. The Rombax 7Z will help you keep it even lower.

If you tend to slice it you will want any driver that has added weight in the heel. You can get the Diablo that has pre-positioned weight in the heel that will help you or if you choose the interchangeable weight route, be sure to add the maximum weight to the heel portals while adding lighter weights to the toe region.

Bryan, first things first, that spin rate needs to come down...way down. Off the driver if your RPM is over 2800 you are losing yards. With an RPM near 5000 you are sacrificing prob 30+ yards off the tee. The NV ProtoPype from Aldila will help but I cant get the 80X through Callaway. The next best option in Aldila is the VS Proto 80X. The Whiteboard 83-X is another great shaft that will help reduce your spin rate that is offered through Callaway. The two shafts are pretty close spec wise. Weight

Is it worth testing out? Absolutely. Will the 9.5 give you a more penetrating ball flight is the question. Most golfers would kill to have more hang time but I know how you feel. I was in the same boat at one time and tested different lofts much like you. I ended up staying with the higher loft though. I would test it prior to officially making a move.

If you are not a low handicap golfer, where you play can make a lot of difference in driver loft choices. In the northern US. especially on the plains, wind can be a huge factor in driver loft effect. We have 160 yd par 3's where 10/12 handicap golfers are using drivers straight into a 35 mph wind. I use a 9.5 TM Burner draw. But I have a Titlist 10.5 I take to Phoenix (low or no wind) and FL (tree lined courses). High trajectory on windy links courses can really beat you up with a high loft. //

In general, the 9.5 degree will tend to give a lower ball flight. However, the shaft also contributes to launch angle. Find a Golf shop that has a simulator that can measure your swing path, launch angle, club-head speed, ball speed, spin and distance. With this information, your Pro can tell you if you need a different club, or just a new shaft.

Regular is from 80 to about 100
Stiff 100 to 115ish

My driver swing speed is 90mph, straight ball flight, and using the Burner driver, I need a stiff shaft. With the regular I do not have the same control as with the stiff shaft and distance is almost identical. Try one out on a range or on a monitor. Swing speeds do not always reflect the correct shaft for your swing. It's only a generic number but is a good starting point.

Thank you for your inquiry. There are a few other brands that have similar weight and launch profiles of the Graphite Design YS series. You should notice that the Aldila NVS 65, the Graphalloy ProLaunch 65, the UST V2 67, and the Fujikura E360 are all very comparable.

The major difference is the Draw helps to induce a draw when you strike the ball, more right to left and the Neutral is made to hit the ball straight rather than hitting a draw or fade.

Tony thank you for your inquiry. To answer, yes, you will be able to notice a difference between the shafts. The correlating number with each shaft stands for the weight in grams of each shaft. The heavier weight (75/85) will significantly reduce the height of your ball flight (especially in the NV green shaft) and are typically designed for players with high club head speeds. That clubhead speed is considered to be high enough for an extra stiff. Typically speaking, anyone who can swing their driver 105+ should be in extra stiff.

Great Question. Everything is subjective to your swing though. Do you tend to swing slower or more quickly? The rule of thumb is that if your swing speed is slower than 95mph then you should probably get a regular flex driver and if your swing is over 100mph then you should probably get a stiff flex driver. That leaves a little grey area that you from 95 to 100 where you can use either flex.
