PING i10 Iron Set user reviews

Handicap 0 - 5
Finally Ping has come out with a cavity back iron that I can get on board with. The Ping I10 irons are great for the low handicapper who just can't get out there as much anymore. You still get the thin top line of a blade and little offset to keep up your control. This iron may be the best Ping setup yet.

Do the different colour dots just mean the different length??

The Ping Color code is only indicadive of the lie angle of the club. Shaft length is determined seperately.
I'm 6'3, what color code should I use as far as lie and length.

Chad, dependant on the length of your arms the typical person of your height would need at least a 1/2" over standard and the usual lie angle would be near 2 to 3 degrees upright putting you in either green or white dot.
Sean, I do not have them in stock currently but I can get them through Ping if you would like to place an order. Please call me at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks.
Will Ping still build i10's even though
the new i15's are out?

Hi, thanks for your question. I spoke with Ping and they will be keeping the I10's around for a little while longer. You should not have a problem getting these built. -Parker
Ping has now changed its color codes and has a color code "purple" , 1.5 degrees flat between red and orange. Do you stock this colour code? Your drop down list is the old list.

I keep reading about length of shaft, measuring wrist to floor, I am short, so what does this measurement tell me and how do I apply it to shaft length

Thank you for your question in regard to shaft lengths. The measurement from wrist to floor will determine which length you will need your shaft set at. Typically, shorter golfer will need their irons/woods cut down in order to maximize proper impact. Please determine the length of your arm from wrist to floor from a standing upright position with your arms at your side and I can determine the optimal length for you.

Also your wrist to floor measurement will determine what lie angle you need. I'm 5'3" and I needed my clubs flattened 3 degrees from standard! Look into it!
I am a average golfer looking for new clubs...current set had extra inch added to shaft length, but not sure I needed it. I am 6'2"...would a custom club fitting be recommended or would std shaf

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically guys your height will need added length to the shaft with an upright lie angle. Your arm length from wrist to floor will give a better idea as to how much additional length is needed. The majority of golfers in your height range would benefit from a 1/2" extended shaft and a 2 degree upright lie angle. The custom iron set will definately improve your ball striking ability and your consistency in your iron play. Please give us a call if you have further quest

Jamie, looking at the Ping iron sets that would work well for your skill level, the G5, G10, Rapture, and Rapture V2 all are excellent options that would help improve your game. The i10, and S57 are geared toward the low hanicap players and professionals.
