Vokey Design Spin Milled™ wedges are unique new products that provide a truly discernible performance option - increased spin. By working with Tour players to create wedges that performed under the most challenging major championship conditions, Bob has developed a precisely machined, tight tolerance groove that provides the player with increased spin on both full and partial wedge shots. Vokey Spin Milled wedges feature a CNC machined cut face and grooves. A special circular saw style cutting tool is used to create precise grooves with a steeper draft angle and a tighter edge radius for increased friction. Craig, the lofts needed to fill your gaps will differ according to the loft of your irons. A stronger set of irons will need stronger wedges. For example: if your PW is 45 degree you will want your gap wedge near 50 degree with a sand at 54 and the lob at 58. You will always want your gap and lob wedges to have lower bounce while your sand wedge has higher bounce. The lower bounce is better for "harder" surfaces ie compact sand while the higher bounce is great for "softer" lies ie fluffy white s

My PW (Callaway X20) is 45 degrees, which makes it a 10 Iron in my opinion, not a wedge. Some sets (e.g. popular Wilson Di7) have a 43 degrees PW! I debated a 50 or 52 degree Approach and am very glad I went with 50. 56 for Sand and 60 for Lob. Longer hitting pros might go 52/58/62. Mickelson carries 60 and 64! I can do just about anything inside 60 yds with my 60.04 - very happy I went with the low bounce Lob rather than an even flatter loft.

what is the loft on a standard sand wedge. I am playing a callaway wedge.
