Best Bridgestone Ball Yet 9/23/2008
Handicap 0 - 5
The new Bridgestone Tour B330 balls are absolutely explosive off the tee. This 4 piece ball provides players with higher club head speeds a reduced amount of spin off the driver to increase yardage and accuracy while providing very high spin rates off the short irons allowing you to "stick it" on every approach. Don't forget to put your mark on this ball because everyone you play with will want to claim it as their own. You will love the new Bridgestone Tour B330 balls.
Not what I'd hoped for . . . 9/10/2009
Handicap 10 - 15
In all fairness, I only used the ball for 2 holes. I was testing it against the Srixon Z-Star ball. My plan was to do 9 holes for each ball. I felt like I struck the B330 ball solidly each time, but the distance was marginal, and the accuracy seemed even worse. I've never used either ball, but my swing speed (115) seemed to be suited for this ball. I had high expectations for this one, and lower expectations for the Z-Star ball. After just 2 holes, I pulled out the Srixon, and had much better results w

how much differnce is there in ht B-330 and B-330 RX for a swing speed of 100 mph. I was with the RX and bought the B-330 by mistake. Thought the RX was great.

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. The B330 seems to be a better ball to suit your swing speed. IT has a compression of 93, where the RX has a compression of 76. I believe you will find the B330 to your liking.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6540852/Golf-balls-take-1000-years-to-decompose.html
