Maxfli Tour Fire Golf Balls user reviews
Nice Ball 7/14/2008
Handicap 20-30
While they're not Pro V1's they're very nice for a middle tier ball, D**** is still selling these for $30 in their stores, but have had them on sale quite often... $18 a dozen is a great price, for a this ball, great distance, and pretty good spin for a ball that's pretty durable. They're just as long as the new Callaway HX Hot Bites, and spin almost as much, but you can't hit one iron shot without chewing those hot bites to bits. I plan on ordering some of these at $18 a doz, but once they're gone the ne

Good Ball cont. 7/14/2008
Handicap 10 - 15
I guess they just want short reviews... anyway, for those interested in a similar ball once this one is gone. Taylor Made Burner TP's are very similar (Taylor Made bought Maxfli and discontinued the Tour Fires) and they retail for $25, and they have a new dimple pattern, but for $18 a doz, the Tour Fires are the way to go.

Great ball Can't see why they are Discontinued 7/5/2008
Handicap 6 - 10
I am about a 5-7 handicap and I love these Balls. I used to hit only Titleist, but these are longer and just about as Soft as the ProV balls. Maxfli I hope you read this review and consider keeping this one on the market. I bought 5 dozen a couple weeks ago because I like them so much and can't find them anymore.

Outstanding Value 12/17/2007
Handicap 10 - 15
Very good distance off the tee and spin/feel around the greens. A three piece ball that preforms like a premium golf ball at an outstanding price. It feels like it's flying off the clubface! I don't really like the graphics, but I'll live with it. My new favorite ball.

Outstanding value 10/17/2007
Handicap 6 - 10
This ball is the best ball for the money that I've used. It's very long off the driver with a great feel and I can stop it on a dime from 200 yards.Maxfli and John Daly were right when they wanted to make a tour caliber ball for a LOT less money.I hope they keep making this ball or replace it with a similar ball.Great job Maxfli!

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6540852/Golf-balls-take-1000-years-to-decompose.html

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A

Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
