found one of these sponge bob balls the last night of league in '07 and finished the round with it. felt good ,went good and we (3 man scramble league) scored well. Now Bob is the forth on the team, we use them every week.I've golfed for 35 years and never had a hole in one.But since playing with Bob .I've had 2. the last one was this past Thursday. Thanks Bob.Got to go ,it's thursday and I have to try for another ace.

Handicap 6 - 10
I bought these balls to remind me on the course not to take golf so seriously. I was having a bad day and just hit one OB, I reached in my bag and saw "Bob", I thought what the heck and proceeded to crank a 320 yard drive dead red down the middle. Now when I play in a scramble, my partners tell, "Be sure to bring Sponge Bob with you. ON our course I've actually had peopl come and give me lost Sponge bob balls ... "Hey, this must be yours." It has taken on a life of its own.

Never under-estimate the power of a sponge! 5/14/2008

I love my Titleist Pro V1 balls but I lost 2 on a tough hole in high wind and left me with these balls that I bought as a goof and thought were dispensable. After some laughs from the other guys when I teed SpongeBob up I got a HOLD of him for a 200 yard drive smack center of the fairway and a chip shot up on the green. Maybe it's the funny smirk on his face or me loosening up without the fear of losing an almost $4 ball... but I have to say, I finished the round well and the rest of the SpongeBob balls ar

Believe it or not this is a good ball 4/30/2008
Handicap 20-30
I originally got these for fun - but was surprised at how well they played. They hit off the tee and around the green as good as any other ball in their price range. Easily visible in the rough, and seeing SpongeBob's goofy face on them can do wonders for your mental game.

i always slice the ball ive played about 10 times this year and have only hit the ball straight with my clubs lower than a 6 what should i change

Great question. The majority of golfers will play a slice so you are not alone with this issue. Typically golfers will open their club face at impact as well as "cut across" the ball trying to help get the ball airborne. The only hope you have at this point is more practice!

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?
A

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

My company bought several doz. balls, they were kept in the store room. How long will these balls last? are they still good? its been around 8yrs. the company closed and I recieved several doz.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6540852/Golf-balls-take-1000-years-to-decompose.html
