Srixon Z-URC Golf Balls user reviews
Golfballs.com Staff Review: from Andy
Great Ball 10/6/2008
Handicap 0 - 5
The Srixon Z-URC are a great ball for the highly skilled player. The ultra thin cover makes this ball buttery soft. This 90 compression ball is designed to compete against the high powered Titleist Pro V1 and will outperform its counterpart in ever category. The Srixon ZURC is definately worth a try if you are still searching for that perfect ball.
Underrated ball 10/17/2008
Handicap 6 - 10
In my opinion, this ball is way underrated. We put our company logo on a bunch of these and gave them to clients and most of them said they play as well if not better than some of the other high-end golf balls. If you're looking for a custom logo ball that performs as well as the other big boys of golf, you should try this one.

Outstanding Ball 11/4/2007
Handicap 0 - 5
I have played the Trispeed for a while in addition to the old AD333 but tried a box of these. If you don't care about a ball only lasting 4-5 holes and paying more, this is a great product. My swing speed with the driver is 106 mph and recently playing in cold and windy conditions, I was hitting the ball pretty darn long. If you're unhappy with the ball you're playing any Srixon ball is worth a shot considering the number 2 player in the world trusts them.

Top ball 4/11/2007
Handicap 0 - 5
This is one of the very best tour quality balls. Higher ball flight than most. This and high spin rate make it suitable into firm and fast greens. Nice crisp feel and sound off all clubs, but it is far from rock like. It is one of the longest tour quality balls available. Do your game a favour and try these if you are a basically good ball striker. You will be impressed!

A must try ball! 11/29/2006
Handicap 0 - 5
This ball is absolutely perfect. It has a great feel off of the driver as well as the irons. It is impressively long off of the tee and offers more than enough control around the green. This ball is as good as it gets and if you were searching for the best blend of distance with control, this ball should be the first one on your list!

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Don't worry, I'll answer your question for you. Most golf shops have equipment with which they can measure your club head speed, however they may attempt to sell you a shaft you don't need. The vast majority of people do just fine with the shaft that comes with the club.

Search for a Golfsmith or PGA Tour Superstore in your area. Golfsmith has hitting areas set up near the rear of their shops and the majority of the time no one bothers you at all. The PGA Tour Superstores usually have at least 8 perforance bays that you can try clubs out.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.
