long, soft and bites 7/26/2007
Handicap 10 - 15
Great golf ball! Nice and long with a smooth soft feel plus it drops and stops on the green. What more could you want? Bridgestone has a winner in the e5.

Greatballl for fall and winter game, soft and yet long drives in old weather. Holds great around greens and feels so good from the fairways.

WOW! 11/29/2006
Handicap 0 - 5
What a fantastic product! A ball that gives you all of the control and spin of a $45 ball at almost half of the price. I was a little bit leary about losing yardage from the tee but my concerns were put to rest after the first round I played with this ball. Good feel, durability, and amazing short game performance all in one ball....simply put, impressive!

The Money Ball! 10/23/2006
Handicap 0 - 5
E5 doesn't mean error on the third baseman in this case, it means a great ball for an even better price. I started playing this ball a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I switched from the pro v 1x because I was tired of paying 50 bucks a dozen for a ball that i could only use for 6 holes before it got all cut up. The E5 is long off the tee, durable, and spins just enough on short irons. Great ball!!!

AWESOME BALL 7/11/2006
Handicap 10 - 15
I HAVE BEEN PLAYING THE E5 FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS AND IT IS THE BEST BALL THAT I HAVE EVER PLAYED. I PREVIOUSLY USED THE PRO V1x AND THE E5 GOES FARTHER AND FEELS THE SAME. THE BIGGEST NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE WALLET. IT IS A BETTER BALL FOR HALF THE PRICE.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Don't worry, I'll answer your question for you. Most golf shops have equipment with which they can measure your club head speed, however they may attempt to sell you a shaft you don't need. The vast majority of people do just fine with the shaft that comes with the club.

Search for a Golfsmith or PGA Tour Superstore in your area. Golfsmith has hitting areas set up near the rear of their shops and the majority of the time no one bothers you at all. The PGA Tour Superstores usually have at least 8 perforance bays that you can try clubs out.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
05/04/2009 3:09 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
