Dunlop LoCo - Golf Balls user reviews
Truely the LONGEST BALL that I've played! 1/8/2007
Handicap 10 - 15
Been playing for 3 years and am a 12 capper. I play Mizuno MX-25 Forged Irons, a Nike Sasquatch Driver and Taylormade rescue dual woods. Swing speed is 100mph.I used to think most of the golf ball technology was hype and not all that "game changing". That was before I tried the Loco ball by Dunlop. My GOD what a difference. First tee box was a 370 yard par 4 with 50'uphill elevation change from tee box to green. Now, I only have a 100mph swing speed and use a Nike Sasquatch driver with a stiff shaft. The wind was 10mph at my back. I put the ball within 40 yards of the green! That's 330 yards uphill! I could definitely feel that I was giving up some greenside control and spin, but I got used to it after a couple of holes. I was still able to spin the ball, but with less feel and buttery feel than usual. MY RATINGS:Distance - 10Feel - 7.5Spin - 7.5Durability - 9Don't buy expensive balls if you are over a 10 handicap. This ball is longer, cheaper, and more durable than the pricey Titleist stuff. Bottom line is you will love this ball!

LoCo 11/8/2006
Handicap 10 - 15
I have been using Callaway Hots since they came out and thought this was the ball for me. Until I tried the LoCo. What a difference when I drive the ball. Great response off my driver. I really love this ball. Don't let the price fool you. Buy them and you will love them.

The Best Kept Secret 6/1/2004
Handicap 10 - 15
I played once with the Loco balls and was super impressed. They are inexpensive and fly very straight. I found one while finishing up my front 9, and used it for the back. I shot a 39 (usually around a 42-44) and would attribute much success from that ball. They feel easy to putt and are soft from the point of attack whether a chip or full swing. Buy this ball and you will notice a difference. I switched from ProV1's to Loco's. No joke!

Really CRAAAZZZY LONG!! 5/6/2004
Handicap 20-30
This ball is as good as they claim. It practically eliminated my slice. Now I can crush it down the fairway and get straight, long distance. It added 20 yards to my driver. Exception feel with the irons. Plus, you can often get two free sleeves with purchase. Can't beat it for price and performance.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?
A

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6540852/Golf-balls-take-1000-years-to-decompose.html

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
05/04/2009 3:09 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
